I realized me and my mother have such a good relationship

I was reading this book called Things Fall apart for school and there was this one part where the character said

"The relationship between them (the mother and daughter) was not only that of mother and child. There was something in it like the companionship of equals, which was strengthened by such little conspiracies as eating eggs in the bedroom"

And that just reminded me of me and my mother cause, no we don't eat eggs in her bedroom. Sometimes on the weekend i sleep in the same room as her and we stay up till the wee hours of the night watching videos, reading stories, looking at funny pictures and laughing. And we both share the same interest.

And sometimes i think, wow this is so strange, i mean i bet not every mother and daughter do this all the time, i bet some mothers and daughters don't even really speak to each other. Like with my Aunt and my Cousin, i'm sure their relationship isn't the same as our relationship, i bet the only thing they have in common is their house, and that is sad, so i'm grateful for that.

So....What is your relationship with your mother/father?????

My mom and I spend more time fighting than anything. And if we aren't fighting we just don't talk to each other. If my mom and I talked like you and your mom did...I'd be happy.

You've been blessed with a mom that takes time to know you...be thankful for that. Not very many people can say they have that.

Mothers only come once in a lifetime. You got to be careful when you have their love.

God created Mothers because He could not be everywhere.

You sound like you have a great mother, I actually envy how close you both sound.
My mother likes to spend time with me, but on her terms only, otherwise we'll just leave each other be, we both like our space.

you're a very lucky person having the chance to spent some time with your mother and develop such a good relationship...Me personally,my parents are seperated and last time i saw my mother was on Sept....but we talk almost every day on phone...so i think you're from the lucky ones

Note, I'm male,

But my mom and I, we have a really good relationship, we don't usually talk or spend time together, but maybe once every 1.5 weeks(on average) we tend to just sit down and talk about everything that's been going on in our lives, new friends, dates, work, school, etc etc,

That's just my experience.

The relationship between me and my mother is horrible. The past few years involved a lot of horrible things. I can't wait to move out and live with my father. When that happens I wont look back even for a second.

The relationship between me and my father is wonderful, although I see him maybe twice a year. He lives abroad and can't get much time off work. But when I do see him it's a good time all around.
