Question How can I get rid of sharpie on a PS3?

Exactly what the title says. My brother got a PS3 back in 2009 (08?....somewhere around there) when he was about 10. He has always been a little strange and with that being said he wrote his name in silver sharpie on the top of the PS3 in big letters a few days after he got it. He has just given to me since he never uses it anymore and I needed a new console to bring to college so I didn't have to lug my Xbox 360 back and forth. I would rather not have his name in big sharpie on it. Is there a way to get rid of it or least reduce it? Hope someone can help!

Try acetone or nail varnish remover.
