Gay = flamboyant?

So this has been bugging me for a while now... I'm bi/gay, still figuring that out but...
I've only came out to one person because people automatically think all gays are premiscuous and flamboyant.
It's kind of annoying, and I can't come out to any of my friends or family because they have an odd conception of gay people...
I'm not flamboyant because I'm gay, if I was flamboyant that would be because that's who I am, not what my sexuality is.
Im sure there are alot of gay people that are flamboyant but It comes across as a very negative stereotype..
Does anyone agree?
By the way, I have nothing wrong with flamboyant guys.
I'm just saying people should judge you upon you, not your sexuality etc.

Re: Gay = flamboyant?

I agree. And as far as other guys go, flamboyancy is a turnoff. I like dudes who are dudes.

My older brother told me this a long time ago, can't believe it's actually a good piece of advice.

Sexuality isn't Personality.

Re: Gay = flamboyant?

I think most flamboyant guys are funny but I couldn't date one. If I wanted a flamboyant guy I'd might as well date a girl. I like MEN.
