My dad wants to buy me a BMW but im afraid people will hate me and get jealous. What do girls think of those cars? Im in high school.

Definitely, BMW is a good car to have, especially the newer ones.
However, I think you will get in loads of trouble with guys.
But on the brighter note, I think you'll get the women (the shallow ones, most prolly)

I wish my dad would buy me a BMW. But how people will react depends on your school (what's the typical car there— ugly old beaters or are you at a rich prick school that's full of sports cars?) and the model of BMW. If it's an older Beemer, meh. Not overly impressive. If it's something like a 2010-13, new/almost new one, you're probably going to be seen as a brat.

For a first car you're probably better to get a cheaper car though.. Would suck if you totaled a gorgeous BMW, not as awful if it's a Honda or Mustang.

Not for a first car, it will last about two weeks before you crash it.

Pretty cars only get you so far. And like Amando said, it'll suck if you crash it (and I'm sorry, but I know how teenage guys with sick cars drive...). Plus insurance will be insane on it.

If I were you I wouldn't care what other people think about it.
my first car was a Mercedes, but for a good reason too.
Good cars are good cars for a reason, and they protect you properly when you are in danger.
I know that I have been in situations where iPad our car not been a mercedes etc, we would have slammed in to the back of another car.

Ask your dad what his intentions are on getting you a new BMW.
If its just to show off that he is a cool and rich dad, then I would think twice, but if it's for your safety, then I think you should let him buy it for you.
