Every single of my best friends I've ever had have ended up moving far away.. Now it's happening for the fith time..how do I deal with this?

That's really rough, I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Good thing there is technology though, you can at least keep in touch with them that way. In the meantime, all you can do is make new friends.

I agree. You can keep in touch with them, but don't dwell on it too much. Make new friends and hang out with them. You just have to move on. Don't forget about them, but don't stay stuck in the past. Just keep pushing forward

It seems like this happens to me a lot too. But for you-- there is little you can do except use Facebook to stay in touch and make new best friends.

You can always make these new friends, it's not as hard as you may think. You just have to show interest in other people as friends, and they will come to you.

You can always keep in touch, maybe take day trips if they aren't too far away? Even a holiday at some point where you can catch up with them.

I was a military kid, so I moved quite a few times. The best thing to do is either stick close to them and keep up via internet or phone, or just learn to like starting over. I actually chose the latter, and I just began (after a while) to enjoy getting to wipe the slate clean and start over.

I sort of know what you're going through. I don't really talk to my old friends anymore, we lost touch, but I do accasionally see them at college and talk sometimes on the internet.
Also I'm not particularlly good at making new friends and, generally, socialising with people due to the fact I have no social skills whatsoever, because I've had to move alot (dad in the army), and I thought what's the point in having permanent friends if I'm just going to move again? So I only made a few friends in each place I moved to. Also I never got into a relationship with a girl, because I wouldn't be able to live with myself after breaking her heart.

In that situation, the thing i consider as best solution is to get expanded time to keep them a bond together with me. Putting them as my second priority in spending my time would I think the best action i could imply for them to be affiliated once more. The more i spent time with them the happy i am.

Try to think why do they left you and learn from it.

There were no such friends that will let them selves keep away from you if they were having the joyful moment whenever you and them are together. Keep the best moment and spent it with them.

One of my way to be close to them is to communicate them though not as always but at least I talked to them even in a short period of time.
