curiosity is on a distinguished road

Meeting new people?

So I'm spending a month or two during the summer in a different country with relatives.
I am pretty stoked because i've never been there before. But I know that sight seeing and the such can only entertain me for so long! esp when my relatives still have to go to work.

I want to make the most of my time there and I feel like i'd have more fun with people my age?
But I'm not sure how to go about meeting people in a completely different country safely?

Any suggestions?

Re: Meeting new people?

Its tough since your just visiting for a month or two. My advice would just be to get out there. When your out and about your bound to meet some people.

Goodluck!

Then when you come back home, you'll likely lose contact with them.

Unless you collect their info on the Internet.

Aren't you that guy who's fully convinced he'll never have a girlfriend?

Now, this was exactly my first worry on going to Greece to live and work. I hadn't a clue. What didn't help was my getting friends with a guy only to see him leave because he was on holiday.

So what I did was go to the same bar/ cafe. Making a habit of sitting at the same place meant I was going to be recognised after a while. And what the best thing that happened was, some people said "arne't you a tourist then?"

Their asking me was the perfect opportunity to make friends. And those same people have remained my best mates even after I left the country.

We all have to start somewhere. A caff is a good place because thats where people come to relax. And when relaxed, it's the best time to say hello.
