My nephew won't eat!

This morning, the first thing he went for was to eat two Hershey's Kisses.

Now he's crying and screaming because he wants more candy and pop, which he can't have because he hasn't actually eaten anything that's actual food, and his mom doesn't want him having too much of that anyway.

I've tried feeding him a PB&J sandwich, pop tarts, chicken tenders, yogurt, applesauce, milk, tea, and juice and he either spills the stuff on the floor or waits until he's alone and feeds it to the dog.

The kid's been awake for almost 4 hours now and i think he's had one chicken tender and a nibble of the PB&J sandwich.

So how in the world am I supposed to get him to eat?! I feel so bad because he's probably like starving by now or something!

i'm sure he will eat if you let him get hungry enough. why are you looking after a chil dif you can't get it to eat anyway?

Just give it some time. He will eat when he gets hungry because eventually he is going to realize that he won't get what he wants. Be consistent.

Pop is soda.

Hey there, I'm actually going through the same thing with my two-year-old nephew.
He will eat when he's hungry. He's testing his limits with you(as well as his parent(s)).

If I may ask, how old is your nephew?

"Pop" is soda, and I actually don't call it "pop" either too much, but my nephew does so I was just saying what he said.

Sounds like the kid has been eating junk for breakfast. Shame on his parents. Offer him food, and a place to eat it. He will eat it when he is hungry. If he feeds it to the dog, let him wait till lunch. By then, he will be ready to eat celery sticks and frozen peas.

My little brother was like this for a while, I decided to start giving him dried fruit instead of candy and now he eats a little healthier.

Definitely take the soda away though, atleast chocolate is somewhat healthy.

Yeahh, my nephew will be 2 in a few weeks. Someimes he doesn't eat; sometimes he does. Kids will eat when they're hungry. Don't offer him a bunch of different things if he won't eat what he's initially offered. That just makes him think that he can always get his way just by whining and asking ferr something else. Either he eats what you put in front of him or don't eat at all. Eventually he'll eat the healthy food cuzz he's hungry. I hope I helped.
