venting

okay, so im a pretty quiet girl, but now i want to just let out everything that has upset me.
my best friend died last year.
my mom has a back injury, seizure disorder, and is an alcholic.
my sister is a drug addict.
my moms ex-boyfriend beat and raped me everyday for 3 years. (never told anyone that)

okay, so i may seem emo or pathetic but i really just needed to let out some frustration.
if anyone else would like to vent about anything at all, i will try to give advice or commment on whatever you're going through.

I'm sad to hear about this. I'm also sorry to hear about your best friend.
I can't bear to imagine what you must be going through with all this, it really would be helpful to talk to someone, though. It's a lot to deal with alone.

Listing stuff isn't really venting. It's just...listing. Naturally, I'm suspicious of anyone who comes on a forum and for their fourth post gives a list about how terrible their life is, then's just like, "Yeah, I was just venting. Anyone else?"

Of course they are. Never said they're not. All I said was I'm suspicious - unless you're actually saying that nobody ever lies on the internet.

can't assume this person is lieing until you have some sort of evidence.

Which is why I didn't say that she is lying, I said I'm merely suspicious. But the reason I'm suspicious is:

1) Not many people have issues like that.
2) She claimed to be coming on here to vent, yet she didn't really express any negative emotions. She just listed things. This, of course, is indicative of someone who wants attention.
3) A person who wants attention and actually has problems like this is very likely to have told someone IRL, therefore they certainly wouldn't be dealing with them anymore. And it's not very likely that they're only wanting attention online and not offline.

Of course, I could be wrong. I admit that entirely. It's just a suspicion, not an accusation.
