Best method is the LITFA ("leave it the fuck alone") method, as my piercer would say! keep a close eye on it, make sure it's not migrating or rejecting. And don't think you're in the clear once it's healed, a fully healed belly piercing can spontaneously decide to start to reject or migrate— check it fairly often. Clean it a couple times a day with hot water and a bit of sea salt (not so much it dries it right out though!). No over-cleaning.


And yes, I have mine done and love it never had any big issues with it, save for the one time I had a small reaction to the metal claws holding the jewel on the bottom— wasn't painful, just extremely itchy.

I think they're cute I was thinking about getting one myself actually.

But I do suggest that if you get one, make sure that the jewelry you use is surgical grade steel. It'll make a world of difference since navel piercings have a habit of being rejected by the body.

Doesn't hurt at all, had it done twice since the first piercer pierced it wrong and gave me the wrong advice (that i needed to clean it and turn it everyday) and cause of that i lost it and later got a new one pierced somewhere else who did gave me the good advice and such.
So if you do it make sure you have a good piercer.

I think it's super cute! As long as you don't ACT trashy, you're not trashy just 'cause you have a belly button piercing! I say go for it! :-)

Personally I find no point to belly piercings, (or most piercings other then your ears)
But if you want one go for it, it's your body so your decision.

Though one thing, I have a friend who had her's done, and when you first get it its can be really painful if it gets snagged on a shirt or gets banged into.
