Last year I went to New Jersey because I thought it would be an alright place to visit, I wasn't exactly right, no offense to any Jersey folks.
While I was is New Jersey, I noticed a lot of the folks up north wear cowboy boots, my question is, why? Where I live, folks wear cowboy boots mostly because they're useful. Ever tried riding a horse in Nikes, me niether, sounds like a bad idea though. By 'useful' I don't only mean when riding a horse or a bull, cowboy boots can kinda work as a 'tool'. There's been a few times when I really needed a hammer and, guess what? I'm a mile away from the garage so, I take off my boot and use the hard heel as a hammer. Walking through a thorn bush is a whole lot more fun when there's a tall layer of leather protecting your leg.
My cowboy boots have also saved me from being sprayed by a skunk. It was probably about 3 yards from me and wouldn't quit walking towards me so I stomped, the loud 'click' noise from my boots scared the fire out of him and he left me alone.
So why do city slickers wear them? The chance of being crapped on by a pigeon ain't very likely, I know, I probably see more birds a day than y'all do.
Y'all got construction workers to build stuff for you.
And, the chance of being attacked by a rabid squirrel ain't very likely. |

Boots are a fashion statement, apparently. A really stupid one, considering I'm from NJ and now live where I ride horses and need good boots that can handle a number of stuff. Girls that strut around in "fashion" boots that copy riding or work boots make me sick.

They wear those all the time here too its kinda fashion thing here aswell.
