Use a bit of volumizing mousse and possibly some hairspray instead. Also use a good shampoo (I recommend Head and Shoulders). You can get specific volumizing shampoos if you prefer though which can be very effective, but ask your pharmacist before you buy. Finally, comb your hair as little as possible.

I do use good shampoo, I use aveda and american crew shampoo. | I'll rephrase: The styling products that you are using, as well as the amount you use, may be weighing down your hair so if you switch to lighter alternatives then eventually your hair should thicken a little bit. Aveda is good (haven't heard of American Crew).

I usually take a small scoop with my finger, rub in the palms of my hand, and then spread through my hair. I try and get it in the roots of my hair, that way it'll provide more hold and not weigh it down as much. I use hair clay, sponge wax, pomade, and fibre cream, but not all at once of course. Just depends what I feel like.

Try Trevor Sorbie it costs a bomb but its quality look at my profile if you wanna see mine haha. |
