How to get my hair from black to blonde.

I know this isn't really fashion... but I didn't know where else to put this thread

I have black hair (I dyed it black btw... I have natual blonde/brown hair) and I want it blonde.

I don't want to bleach it because I'm afraid it'll go orange.

&& I can't be bothered to wait for it to fade and dye it then.

Has anyone got any tips?

Dying a blonde color over it may be fine.

Black and red are the hardest colours to dye over.

I'm sick of black hair now

i died my hair black once and it was pure black and i died it to blonde when it was still pure black and it turned out blonde.

I had that problem, i decided to leave it dark though because you just have to risk it going orange when you use bleach but it might work.

It shouldn’t go orange; it depends on how long you do it for. It’s basically bleach (and dye), that removes the colour from your hair, the longer you leave it the more colour is taken out.

Dark haired people don’t always suit blond hair due to your complex, but it depends on the person. Why don’t you try getting streaks, or sample a small bit of hair before doing it all.

Personally, I have never done this my self. I have my hair dyed, but go to the hair dresser, at least I have someone to blame if it all goes wrong

i know this sounds weird but my friend accidently fell into a tub of yellow and white paint(don't ask how),and once she got out and wiped it off her brown hair turned into blonde.(Which was great because she was thinking about dying her hair blonde.

bleaching at home is a bad idea if you dont know what your doing.

DO NOT LISTEN TO WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT IT NOT GOING ORANGE, IT WILL.

trust me on this, ive dyed my hair over 50 times.

the only way to get rid of the orange is to put purple toner on it and to get rid of the yellow you have to use a blue toner. this will make your hair go white. if you like the colour at this point then leave it otherwize put a blonde dye (not bleach) ontop.

it is often a common misconception that dying hair right after you bleach it is bad for your hair but i find that it makes my hair feel and look more healthy.

your best bet is to go to the hairdresser though.
