Everyone tells me to be one... I am 17. While I'm in Brazil for vacation I think I will go to an agency or something, like my cousin did.
I will try out for Americas next top model also, when I turn 18

Why? So you can have no hope at having a career? The fashion industry thinks that show is a joke, because it is, and it tends to hurt careers.
I do local modeling and I have a photoshoot in June and I'm also going on a gosee in June. |

Local modeling agencies don't know much... I might as well try at americans next top model to be recognized.

Read around, dearie. Hardly any of the former contestants have even had work, and it's mainly the ones who don't win that have, as the title is considered a joke by the fashion industry, again, read around. The majority of the work the winners get is just the MALAACG spots featured during the show. Nicole is one of the only successful winners from the show, but even then, she's far from being a super model. Most likely the show will be done before you can audition anyways. When do you turn 18? It's also harder to get a modeling career the older you get, so the requirement of being 18 is something that shows how much of a joke the show is.
Then again, the show isn't looking for high fashion future supermodels, just commercial models, hence why the prizes are covergirl(commercial model looks) and seventeen magazine(again, commercial model looks)
I don't do modeling to be recognized though, I do it just for fun and for extra money. However, if I was really interested in it I would be doing fitness modeling and print work with MMG, as I've been offered a contract by them before. |
