im going bed tanning next week. what am i to expect and what should i do before hand and what should i bring.

Ill try to be a bit helpful not like the unreassuring post above ^
First off if you don't want tan lines - tan naked.
Next make sure you have lotion - the indoor lotion. Outdoor tanning lotion will not protect you.
if you want to go darker buy a lotion with a bronzer, if not just buy a normal protective lotion.
goggles i belevie they can provide you with at the salon.

also i suggest just go indoor tanning for a base tan so you dont burn, because if you go too often you wont have a tan your skin will just be orange

I'm fine with being pale, in fact I like it. I do everything I can to protect my fair complexion.

Not saying you're stupid or anything, and I can understand people wanting to be darker toned in the summer. But it's probably best to let mother nature do it for you.

well the reason im doing it is because im a model and i need to be tanned for summer runway shows and i keep getting bad tan lines and we cant have those so im just gonna get it done in one sprint.

i dont want to do it i have to.

Me and my friends were playing Silent Hill Origins the other day..If you've ever seen it starts out with the little girl whose all burned up. We were like wow..she spent too much time in a tanning bed.

mmm had some bad memories about tanning

well if you want a tan fast-i suggest a spray tan. the tanning salon should offer it. tanning beds take awhile some time before you actually get tan [depending how long you stay in of course/how frequent you go]. my boyfriend [hes not pale] goes tanning just about every other day for 10 min [the bulbs are a lot brighter so youre not supposed to stay in any longer] and it took up to two week before there was a really noticeable tan. when i got my spray tan it took 60 seconds [no joke-its timed] and four hours later i had a bronze tan which everyone noticed.

i suggest this kind of tanning if you dont want to invest much time into/the healthier option. the only downfall is of course it doesnt last as long-up to a week usually. and also there could be a chance of unevenness around the hands and feet-but that only occurs if you dont follow the directions properly.

if you do decide to do spray tan make sure you close your mouth while its going-doesnt taste so great LOL =.= but a tip for either-exfoliate your body before you get a tan. this way it will remove the dead skin that isnt usually visible to the naked eye. in turn you're tan will last longer.

for tanning beds, make sure you use some kind of tanning lotion that also protects you somewhat from the uv rays. my boyfriend was using a tanning lotion that didnt protect against uv rays and as a result his downstairs got sunburn. talk about OUCH! especially if youre going to go naked-make sure youre sensitive parts have some type of protection.
