Ear piercing
Which procedure is safer? Laser ear piercing or traditional needle piercing? Could you give me a list of pros and cons for either? Thanks!

Re: Ear piercing
Go to a tattoo/piercing parlour. Getting the traditional one where they pierce your ear with the earring itself is a terrrible idea. It causes infection, and it's a blunt end going through your flesh. Get pierced with a needle. Easier, and nice on your body.

Re: Ear piercing
I got mine done with the earring as well.. well.. 4 of them, anyways. The other 2 were done with needles.. and my other 5 piercings were with needles as well. I just don't recommend going to like.. a hair-dressers to get your ears pierced. They're not trained in piercing.
Go to a place that your friends would recommend. Go in, check it out, if you feel comfortable in there, and if it looks clean and professional, then it could be a decent place. Meet the person that would be doing the piercing. if you trust them, I'd go through them!
There's only 1 place I go for piercings, and another place for tattoos. And that will never change unless the place closes down, or if my artist/piercer moves stores, then I'll follow them.

Re: Ear piercing
I'm pretty sure a needle is better than getting pierced with the earring

Re: Ear piercing
Needle is by far the safest way, the gun infects more. Laser is something I haven't heard of.

Re: Ear piercing
I have gotten a few done with a needle and a few with a earring. I personally think the earring hurts a lot less than the needle. Also, I know for a fact the earring ones heal a lot faster/better than the ones with the needle. Laser... I'd be scared outta my mind... about the cost and how long it would last.

Re: Ear piercing
I would just go to a peircing/tattoo parlor. The people there are trained in peircing. Never let a friend do it. I have never heard of laser peircing and I sont think I would trust it. With a needle there is little chance of say burns, but Id imagine there would be with a laser.

Bro, I went to a girls store in the Mall called Claires because it was the cheapest and the lady just jammed it though my ear, it's not a big deal, the same as scrapeing your knee.

Re: Ear piercing
Oh yeah, I remember some of my friends went to that store. Only problem is, right now I'm in Taiwan and there's no Claires here. I wanted to get my ears pierced before I went back to school so that I could change my earrings for school. Well I got them pierced, so no biggie! lol

Re: Ear piercing
Getting it done with a needle is the best way, just make sure that you are being pierced with sterile needles.
DON'T use a safety pin to pierce yourself, usually that makes the hole more prone to infection as safety pins contain nickel in them. Which the body isn't too keen on.
It probably wouldn't be smart to go to a place such as Claire's that uses ear piercing guns to do their piercings, usually the guns shatter your cartilage in your ear because of the force it uses to pierce your ears.
