You can bank them which is in your userCP, they are used to buy VIP status which gains you certain privaledges around the board, these peopel have orange usertitles.

Yeah, they are used to buy VIP membership. If you gain a certain # of points, and are in good standing on the forums, you can buy VIP membership.
