Recently there has been some actions that transpired this posts and idea.
Please do not make this about the previous situations that have fallen under this category in the past.

Primarily this is just a simple suggestion to help taper the amount of drama; trouble. I feel that you should only report someone if you're truly offended by what they've stated towards you. Of course it'd be a plus if you have a decent case of defense in your report. We're all offended by different situations so it's hard to classify any specifics here. Condoning to a situation might help, I feel some people use the report button just to crave attention, to where some never use it just to cause a fiasco. Basically this first suggestion is to clarify what this should really be used for, I personally feel it'd cause less trouble for the staff and community.

Secondly, something else that was also brought to my attention about reports, falls under the terms of abuse. Not only do some people abuse this form of help through the crave of attention, but some abuse this just to try and cause a dramatical scene for others and get them into trouble. Honestly, I feel that you shouldn't be able to report anything you consider, harassment, abuse, or breaking of the rules after a certain amount of days. With special exceptions.

Why?

• If you were originally insulted by the post, you should state your reasoning in the report then and there or when it grabs your attention within a reasonable amount of time, not to abuse the help.

• Actions such as this will not allow people to abuse this form of help and will cause less trouble for the moderation team and members of Teen Hut.

• This just proves that you as a member are trying to cause a form of trouble that isn't needed. With special exceptions of course.

These reasons are more along the lines of simple and straight to the point, I'm not going to get into details. Personally I just feel that reporting old posts to get people into trouble should be over looked and is absurd, with of course special exceptions.

Edit - Just so there's no misunderstanding, I feel that the moderators should still take actions on what they see in posts, no matter how old. I feel people shouldn't report out of spite or go back on their thoughts just to cause trouble. Moderators should be free to feel and act on their feelings in the situation.
