The friends that you and the person's profile you're viewing's friends too.
For example, if you was veiwing my profile, and we're both friends with Mayank, it would show Mayank as our mutual friend

Say me and you are friends (Which we are cause i just added you) and we're both friends with mayank. If you view my profile Mayank will bea mutual friend. View Mayanks profile and I'm a mutual friend..
it means that they are friends of your fried. If you get me. Basically mutual friends means they're on your friends list and on the persons profile you're viewing.

Person A is friends with Person B
Person C is friends with Person B
Thus, Person B is a mutual friend.
