Money: 1,157 | Threads Okay everyone, to start off i'd just like to say i'm sorry for ' whining ' or ' complaining ' but this is something that really bothers me..
All throughout teen hut you can find all different kinds of people and threads, ranging from the mean, nice people or the strange, helpful threads. But I think there is a lot on Teenhut that doesn't get recognized like it should. Also, ranging from people and threads.
Now I agree with the moderator requirments and all that stuff, I think it's right that only experienced people, who really deserve it can get that chance, so mods, i'm not really talking about you in that way.
But what i'm trying to say is that there are so many great threads out there that go un-recognized, there maybe read a few times but then lost in the many pages, probably never to be seen again. Now, I know thats what the search button is for, but I mean, shouldn't the good, well let me say great, post out there be recognized and stickied or something for members convienience? Or, lets say a guest comes looking for advice in any of the many subjects teenhut has. I don't think they should have to look through page after page to find a little advice on how to turn there lifes around, cheer themselfs up, or whatever they may be looking for. They, we all, should be able to click a topic, and have an array of great post on the first page ( stickied ) and if we can't find it there then we can either ask a question, or continue the search.
But for example, here are some great post from different sections that have gone un-recognized, and lost for the most part.. Miss Loo - Depression & Self Harm http://www.teenhut.net/depression-se...e-teenhut.html Dr. Tabzi - Food, Health & Fitness http://www.teenhut.net/food-health-f...lackheads.html
- http://www.teenhut.net/food-health-f...help-acne.html Bigman89 ( Me ) - Food, Health & Fitness http://www.teenhut.net/food-health-f...ide-2-0-a.html
Now that's not all of them, i'm sure you could look through the hundreds of pages of Teenhut and find plenty more great post, probably even enough to fill this page that havn't been recognized, or rewarded.
I just think great post should be rewarded. Members are rewarded with reps, special privelages, titles. But if they did so much to get there, and so much to get the rep or position they have. They must have made some pretty good post/threads, so why not reward those, and sticky them, instead of letting them all get lost in the directory?
We reward our members, but not our post, why?

Money: 1,157 | Re: Threads Well, i'm not saying that all of them should be stickied or bumped ( sorry if thats what I implied ). I'm just saying the ones that are really helpful to the coresponding subject should be noticed and/or stickied.
For example, Miss Loos guide in depression. It pretty much sums up everything the depression section is about. The depression section is about people who need support, and she gives a lot of it in her thread.
Or, Spinders post in dating and relationships. Although we all know abusive relationships are bad, do we now how to spot one? She gives a lot of usefull info in that post that a lot, if not everybody should know. Though it might seem like common sense to some, i'm sure a lot of the younger people in the forum might not know it all.
Those are the kind of post i'm talking about, the ones that really took a little effort to make. Not just the 5 minute threads that say " Hey, don't do drugs, there bad for you, and can have some serious side affects. " Now, thats a good post, don't get me wrong. But it's just not the kind that i'm talking about. Because I do agree with you, it'd take to long and be far to pointless to take care of all the little things like that.

Perhaps we could instead create a sort of directory which is stickied at the top. This could provide links to all of the threads that themselves deserve to be stickied but would make the forum look messy if they were. |
