Yeah... Girl Problems...

    • Yeah... Girl Problems...

I'm aware this is my first post, so don't call me a n00b or anything...

So anyway, there's this girl I know. She's the same age as me (15). We've been good friends for over a year now and I still really really like her (yes, in that way). It's summer right now, I've got loads of time off school. I've been out with her and my best friend a couple of times and I will be again a lot more during the summer. During this time I'm thinking of making a move. I'm also worried that will destroy our friendship, which is another problem. Thing is though, today I found out that my best friend (who hasn't been friends with her as long as me) ALSO likes her... great... that's the last thing I need. It's really put me in an awkward place. I think they might have a slight chance as well? I doubt it, but still... So many questions have been running through my mind since then. I love her so much though. I couldn't bare to lose her friendship... =(

Anyone tell me, what should I do?

this is my first post too.. so.. yeah.

aaah.. that sucks. doesnt seem fair to you, eh?
i'll only say that you've got to come clean with your friend.. being a bestfriend, im sure he'd understand.. after all, because he likes her for a day or two, his feelings wouldnt be as strong as yours, could it?
as for her.. does she suspect something? have you tried hints about your feelings?

I would forget about hurting someone else's feelings because if he was in your spot he would problaby do the same.

I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Well, the current situation is I'm trying to make him realise she's not right for him. Because in actual fact, she isn't. Right now he thinks I'm just saying that because he knows I like her as well. I'm trying to save him from rejection or doing anything drastic. It doesn't look like he'll be asking her any time soon, hopefully never once I've got through to him, so I can try and reason with him for the time being. I also doubt I'll be asking her either (ever). It's not so bad though, I can move on. I've thought about it and it's best if we stay good friends anyway (although I guess I could still try hinting my feelings like Roy said).

Well yeah, thanks for the help guys =)

OMG, they're dating now, somehow.............. =(

      Edit:

Pfft, I'm over it now. After pondering over it for nearly 3 hours a couple of nights ago I've realised everything happens for a reason and that we'd be better off as friends anyway (if I haven't said that already). Nothing's really changed since they started dating anyway... things were a bit better today surprisingly. I don't think they'll be dating for too long either. I've spent a lot of my life being grumpy, I gotta cheer up more =)

Just tell her, dont ask her out, start by telling her that have strong feelings for her and that you have for awhile. See how she reacts to that. Try not to make it awkward around her, and then just see how things go.

Tell him too, just be like dude I like her, and have for awhile.

I did that, but it was one of my guy friends.

He ended up asking me out after we discussed it, and we dated for a while.

      :D

      Good luck.

Talk to your best friend about it. Maybe he'll understand. Don't let girl problems get in the way of a friendship because if things don't work out with this girl you will have lost two important people in your life. If things seem okay with your friend then i would make some kind of a move on this girl. Not too strong. Best of luck, these kind of things are tricky!
