I'm an audiophile, so the full quality of a CD is a MUST for any music that I really really dig, and I feel like I get a better sense of where the band is coming from when I see all the artwork and the little things you only see in the booklet. Even the way some bands phrase the lyrics in the CD booklet can tell you alot about a song.
Personally, for my own music, I've had WAY more response to physical CDs than digital downloads from a sales perspective. And I feel people in general seem to be more open to CDs in the local music scene, even if they prefer digital for mainstream artists.
....and of course, vinyl is just BOSS. Superior sound, and HUGE ARTWORK. I will collect a lot of it in my elderly years, I'm sure. Just no time or money for it ow.

I don't like downloading music partly because I know that artists have to actually sell a number of albums if they're to get signed for another album and partly because I get a greater feeling from buying the CD than I'd get downloading it |
