ive been a green day fan for a good 10 years now, listened to them from kerplunk up to 21st century breakdown and every single albulm is bettter than the last!! lik with the new albulm, they have been able to gain alot of their punk rockness which alot people thought they somehow lost when american idiot came out, which i completely disagree!!
saw them live in dubin last wednesday!!!! unbelievable!! best band ive ever seen live!!

its a brilliant video tho, and an epic song, kinda goes back to like stuck with me, style of video!!!!

My comment was in light of the era between Green Day's mindless immature phase and the current stadium phase rock phase that they've been churning for the past two albums. The bit in between is the sound of a band that is thoughtful but is still capable of packing a punch. Basically Nimrod, and perhaps a bit of Warning as well, but that was hampered by a lot of annoying poppiness.

true, they did become way more commercial pop punk since warning, and shanigans, lke that albulm was only 2 years before A I and its completely different, in their style!! it was the fact that they went into more politicalness in their music that might have annoyed alot of fans who thought previous albums were better!! altho they are mid 30s nw so their style was bound to change!! look at linkin park, their sound has completely changed since hybrid theory!! like the fact is that green day have been critisised since dookie, because of the hardcore punk fans hated the fact they signed to a major label, nimrod and warning aswell were critised!! personally, i dont care if they are pop punk or to stadium rock, they make epic music, in my opinion, and most green day fans, will always like the music!!
