I just can't cope with it....
so just hours ago, i found out my girlfriend is pregnant.... and i'm freaking out..
my mom is gonna disown me... i don't know what's going on right now.. it would be cool to hear from other teen parents...
like what about college? what about my dreams? i'm just so messed up right now..

Well, your future depends on whether or not you're going to accept the child as yours or have anything to do with raising it.

There isn't an instruction manuel for parenthood, so if you are going to be an active parent, then you'll need to work with your girlfriend to figure things out. One person can't figure their head around it all alone if it involves both of you. Your dreams aren't destroyed if you're a young parent, you just have to go at them slower and with a child in mind. I only have a couple friends' experience to go on, but you can get through it alright as long as you work hard (get a job), read up on what you can expect from a pregnancy/child, and plan with your significant other.

If you don't want to be a father, then you have to discuss that with the girlfriend. You can sign over your parental rights all on your own, or you both can consider abortion or adoption. It just depends on what you can deal with. Some people can't stand having aborted, some can't stand adopting out and knowing they have a child out there somewhere, and some people are fine with any decision that means they don't have to be a parent so young.

Just try to think it out and think it through. None of us can really tell you what is right. Best of luck!

If you're old enough to have sex, you're old enough to use contraception.

If you're too big to use contraception - you're ready to be a dad (unless you're silly, of course).

If the contraception failed on you - there are options, if they aren't taken then good luck.

Well first off you should talk to your gf about it and see what she want's to do about it.
I got pregnant 3 months into a relationship with my fiance, we were being stupid and not using any type of birth control bc I've had 3 different obgyn doctors tell me that I was infertile and that I would never have kids even if I got eggs implanted I guess they were all wrong! lol
But anyways my fiance and me talked about the options and we both decided to keep our baby. As of college well me and my fiance came to terms and agreed that I would go to school first while he supported us financially. But than again I'm going to Charter college and it's only 10 months. And after I get done he would get some schooling done while I support us financially. So there are options but talk to your gf about it and see if you guys can come up with something. Now if you both know you can't take care of a kid and can not afford to raise one, it's a lot of money btw we spend about at least 300 a month on our baby girl and shes just a baby. Plus the doctors appointments for check ups add another 500 at least for each visit. There are 3 options you guys can go down abortion adoption or you can keep it.

I'd be most upset if no one had congratulated me on my pregnancy
