Sudden breakup

Ok so yes im young im going off to high school. But the problem is that about a week ago my ex's mom broke us up. She was my first and it was great I thought hey we'll last the summer. However we didn't. Supposedly her and her mom have already been fighting a month before. Her mom thinks she'll end up like her cousin who only does stuff with her bf's say so. Were going to different schools but I still don't feel right about it. I respect what her mom wants but now she won't give me a chance to do anything. If anything I didn't know a thing until last week late at night. What im asking is what should I do? Even after a week I'm still rolling around hoping there's a chance.
