  • Indeed I did. I haven't eaten anything outside of my goal-specific diet for over 2 years. Because I'm just fucking boring that way. But it's all worth it, for a healthy life and fit body.

Well I wouldn't know about what the average school kid can bench. I'm 22 and all the people I train with are in the 21-40 age group. For me, seeing someone bench 300lb+ is pretty commonplace.. it all depends on what kind of gym you go to. Different groups of people tend to gather in certain gyms.. like middle-aged men in 'health club' gyms, teenagers in communal gyms, and powerlifters and bodybuilders (contest level) in well.. a powerlifting and bodybuilding gym. The reason being, basically, the…

Well, I've quit bodybuilding. But here were my best lifts from back in the day. Bench Press: 350lb for 5 reps with a barbell. 150lb dumbbells for 6 reps. I never max on bench, squat, or overhead movements. When you've had as many injuries as I've had, you'd understand. Squat: 400lb for 10 reps. Dead lift: 660lb for a single rep. The only lift I max out. Overhead press: 120lb dumbbells for 8 reps. With a barbell, it was 220lb for 5 reps. Yes, my medial delts are a lot stronger than my anterior de…

All of Lady Gaga's songs. I start off hating them, begin to really like them, but by that time I get bored of them.

=I only practice Shotokan Karate. It does work up a bit of a sweat, but I definately would not substitute cardiovascular training (running/rowing/cycling) and weight lifting/training for martial arts. Martial arts is good for your health though, it's made me a lot more flexible and balanced. Each form of exercise has its own effects on the body.. just remember if you want to build muscle, you'll have to lift weights too. And if you want to burn fat, you should do CV training aswell.

  • I respect someone who looks after their body. That doesn't mean I always approve of their altered attitude when they start gaining confidence, if they start acting like insuferable douche-nozzles. But if they're happy and having fun.. it doesn't really bother me. On the other hand, I do dislike.. perhaps hate, people who don't look after themselves at all, either because it's 'too much effort' or they have no respect for their health. Especially when they complain to everyone about how crap they…

  • Quote from Mattster: “Yup really. =] Baring in mind, that was a few years back when I did it. They may have changed the rules now? Unless it was always like you said but for me I was never asked for ID or anything.” Ahhhh, that explains it. I was confused, because it's law now that they have to ask for ID. The Gamestation where I live has the police checking up on them, so they always ask for ID. It changed a couple of years ago, I think. This is from Game's website: "*Please note: To trade in h…

  • It's just one the original DSs, but it was £25 boxed with Sonic Rush and Final Fantasy: Rings of Fate, and some Meteriod Demo. The guy got ripped off IMO. So.. I'm looking for some more games to buy. I like RPGs and racing games, but also anything fun, really.

  • Quote from Mattster: “Yup, 100% cash. =] ---------- Post added at 07:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:27 PM ---------- But I only did that a few times.^ I generally trade in for another game, but I've never been asked for ID when I traded in for Cash unless it was 18+ stuff.” Really? I always get asked for ID at Game and Gamestation.

  • Hmm, crafty. :ninjaa: Well if it says Mr.Bother and not Dont Bother.. who's to know? If you get what I mean.

  • Oh crap! :O! Maybe you get your parents/guardians to do it for you.

  • Game - Yes Gamestation - Yes HMV - Yes, although some franchises don't have the trade-ins anymore. AFAIK, you don't have to be 18, you just need a photo ID and a letter with your current address on (some stores it needs to be letter less then 31 days old, or is over 31? I forget. Just take both). It's good to get a quote from all three because they vary in their cash prices. I traded in 10 (old) PS3 games once and they gave me like £20.. some they only gave me a £1 for. Sometimes it's totally no…

Quote from fcukwar: “Bmi is not an accurate measurement of fat .. It also includes muscle. Mine is 22.5” Haha, true. My BMI, 27.3 makes me sound like a fatty. But I have only 8% bodyfat (I tested) which is way below average, and a 30" waist now.

Raw is the only way I have my eggs now. I feel healthier for it, mainly because of immuno befetis that come with raw eggs. I'd advise eating the entire egg if you're buying whole eggs. Buying egg whites, in a bottle ready to drink, is OK, since they're heat treated to neutralised the avidin content, which is normally remedied by eating the yolk too which is high in Biotin, which binds with the avidin in the whites. Eating the whites only of whole eggs is pretty pointless.. the avidin really redu…

Quote from Budsmoka: “I can get a shit load of games though. I can always get a 360 latter but for right now shitty $60 games don't seem appealing to me.” Why don't you sell it on eBay instead? You'll get more money, I think. If it's what you really want to do then go for it, but you'll probably regret trading it in when a game you want to play on the 360 comes out. What PS2 games are you planning on getting?

Quote from aphrodite.: “photos aren't everything so don't beat yourself up about it :p” Exactly! What you look like a mirror is pretty much what you look like to other people. Photos can look bad because of expressions, angles and lighting, like Alex said bad photos happens to us all. I don't really care about looking bad in photos, it's just a photo. If it's a memorable occasion I'm happy to have a picture of it no matter what I look like in it. Also people tend to be really self-critical.. so …

  • I've read about Rupert Sheldrake's Morphic Resonance theory, it basically suggests that while there are billions of humans, there is actually only thousands of different people. Because there are people all over the world that closely resemble each other. It's all down to what influences people to do things, like the media, nature, instinct, external social factors. When a certain 'trend' has been established, people who have developed be a certain type of person will tune in to that morphic fie…
