I voted but live in NJ so was not on ballot. If I lived in California I would have voted yes on 8 though. I support gays getting civil unions just do not think the government should be marrying them since marriage is a term derived from Religious Sacraments.

Quote from Seaside: “Community organizer in Chicago >> Being mayor of some hick town in Alaska But neither has much experience and it doesn't even matter. Bush had loads of experience and he sucked as President. The problem with Palin isn't her lack of experience, it's that she is flat out retarded. I don't understand why people want to vote for someone for 'being like them' and not having a lot of understanding about what is going on. Do you honestly think Palin understands the bail out anymore…

Quote from hestheone: “OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA McCain can't even use a computer, seriously guys. And he picked the WORST VICE PRESIDENT EVER. Sara Palin has as much experience as my remote has.” McCain can't use a computer cause of his war injuries, thats cool to make fun of right? Ya cut on Palin experience, cause Obama has so much. I mean being a community organizer is kinda like being the President.

  • Quote from flygirl382: “Exactly, if the government doesn't allow it, then they could get married in a church but it's not a very legit marriage.” Who is to say what is "legit". I personally think weather or not the Catholic Church acknowledges my marriage is alot more important than weather the United States government does.

  • Quote from flygirl382: “Gay people aren't allowed to get married in a church if the government doesn't allow it.” Wrong. The question is weather the government recognizes the marriage. In 48 states currently u can not get a government marriage license. That does not mean that a Church can not go through their own sacraments and marry whoever they please. So the questions is do Gay's just to get the experience of being married and being together with their lover forever, if so they can legally do…

  • Quote from flygirl382: “Wow, I've never heard of that before. Like I said before if it doesn't affect you personally why should you care? So what if gay people get married in your church, does it affect you directly- NO!! Would it make you not go to that church anymore- no!! :)” Gay people are allowed to get married by any church that will accept them. It is not governments job to marry people.

  • Gay Marriage is legal in the United States. Gay people can get married by any church that is willing to accept them. The question is should gay people get the rights that heterosexual couples get from the government.

Quote from Athanatos: “McCain is so annoying. He acts, and sounds like Bush. His commercials, well, always says something like Obama isn't ready to lead and shows a pic of a (White) Baby or little kid acting cute and shows him at the end looking all Heroic with a glow effect. (If you have seen his commercial you'll know what I mean.) While Obama actually talks about what hes going to do in his.” Please link me to the McCain ad showing a baby. • Well if Matt Damon says it, it must be true. I am going to base my vote on what Matt Damon says! As for the VP thing, clearly a joke saying she doesnt know what the VP does. Not a fan of Palin, but your arguments are pretty lame and pathetic.

Also if you actually followed the election closely you would know that Gallup daily tracking had the candidates tied on Thursday of this week. Quote from Acacia Noctis: “Whether they were Al-Qaeda or if it was technically a prison camp not doesn't matter. It's the idea that they felt their people were being mistreated (and for the most part, were right). They were obviously sick of American soldiers in the Middle-East where they didn't belong, acting like they owned the place. Treating the people there like crap. That's everything Gitmo represents. So yes, in the grand scheme of things, it did play a role. Maybe not literally, but figu…

Quote from Acacia Noctis: “Ahahahahaha, why do you think 9-11 happened? Guantanamo was only one of many reasons.” Gitmo was not holding Al Queda members at that time. Everything I read it wasnt even a prison camp till 2001 after 9-11 after we released people from Hati. 9-11 has to do with lots of reasons, but Gitmo was not one of them.
