Re: Religion
PostQuote from iphu: “I'll be honest with you: nowhere in the bible does it say you can't have sex before marriage. There are some stories that people use to argue premarital sex is a sin, but different people interpret the stories differently. I don't think premarital sex itself is a sin as long as you are in a committed relationship and you'll eventually marry him/her. The thing is many people have pre/extramarital sex for the fun of it - because they can. Since I've always been a party pooper and…

NO. Crocodiles and ducks are completely different types of animal! Reptiles /=/ birds! They are on completely different sections of the evolutionary tree! There is essentially no chance at all for a mutation like what you described happening. Even if a duck-like section were to appear on a crocodile, it would not serve the crocodile's purpose, thus making it less desirable as a mate to other crocodiles. No part of a duck is useful to a crocodile, so natural selection would ensure the elimination…

You can say that there are some out there, but there are more missing than found.” Okay - fossilisation is a very unlikely process - we're lucky to have as many as we do. And what are you looking for in a transitional fossil? Species do not change into one another. Evolution is like a tree - things can have similar characteristics due to common ancestry, but they are different branches and therefore are different creatures. You will not…

Quote: “Irreducible Complexity - There are organisms or at least parts of organisms that are much much too complex to have evolved. They had to be at least have been designed. The bacterial flagella for example. 2. There are alot of missing transitional fossils.” 1. The bacterial flagellum has been shown to be reducible. There's a video of Ken Miller on youtube to this point. Nothing irreducibly complex has EVER been conclusively found. 2. No there aren't - everything is transitional and you're …
