  • Er, in a nutshell, genders happened because of what started out as genetic flaws... but because of the evolutionary advantages of combining two sets of genes as opposed to duplicating one set, it became dominant.

Quote from ;: “” Well, you're going to have trouble losing any weight if you're not meeting your metabolic requirements for calorie intake. All not getting enough calories is going to do is slow your metabolism down. You should see a health professional for a free evaluation and they will tell you your metabolic rate.

I know a couple different straight guys who straighten their hair. On some of them, it really does look better in my opinion.

  • Quote from CHRISTOPHER: “I'll second that.” Mhmm. There are a few points in your post I don't quite agree on, though. First off- Though the majority of the world may not want to see 300 million of any nationality starve to death, if they had to choose between watching the US wage war on another underdeveloped country (possibly even their own- sometimes it's hard to tell who the US military is going to target next) or seeing the US just collapse, what do you think they'd choose? In situations lik…

  • Obama. I truly, deeply want him to win this election. But I have this sinking feeling that he won't. It does remind me of something a friend of mine from another forum said: "As a non-american I'm kind of hoping McCain wins and then dies a week into the presidency because Sarah Palin as president is an absolutely hilarious idea and it might teach your country a lesson that even G.W. Bush couldn't." It made me laugh, as horrifying as it is. However, if this country is dumb enough to elect McCain/…

  • Quote from Anonymous1: “who gives a shit if ur head is big? i have one of the biggest noses in the world, i dont give a shit, just have high self confidence” Having a big nose is a lot more common than having a big head. And it's not as easy as just saying "have better self confidence."

  • I agree with armyforthebroken in most cases. It's better to split than expose one's children to constant bickering and arguing. It's more stressful for everyone involved. If both parents think they can pull it off without drama, then maybe. But that's really difficult to do because it requires the cooperation of both.

  • Most Americans think 9-11 happened because Bin Laden had this unwarranted hatred towards America. And that the US had been just minding its business for all those decades and that Al-Qaeda attacked because "they hate freedom" or something similar. :\ They refuse to believe that it was the US who helped most of the terrorists they're fighting today get into power.

  • No. Before Gitmo was converted into the prison it is today, soldiers were doing the same thing they are today pretty much. Obviously Gitmo wasn't a literal cause of 9-11, but what goes on there is representative of it. Maybe I mis-worded my other posts to make it sound like that, but no. And your last sentence is barely coherent.

  • Quote from NYRDrury: “Gitmo was not holding Al Queda members at that time. Everything I read it wasnt even a prison camp till 2001 after 9-11 after we released people from Hati. 9-11 has to do with lots of reasons, but Gitmo was not one of them.” Whether they were Al-Qaeda or if it was technically a prison camp not doesn't matter. It's the idea that they felt their people were being mistreated (and for the most part, were right). They were obviously sick of American soldiers in the Middle-East w…

  • Quote from NYRDrury: “Actually not really but ok.” Ahahahahaha, why do you think 9-11 happened? Guantanamo was only one of many reasons.

  • Quote from NYRDrury: “Guantanamo bay is one of the reasons we have not been attacked since 9-11 here on American Soil.” Guantanamo Bay is one of the reasons 9-11 happened in the first place.

  • Never been to one. I'll probably end up going to one someday, maybe when I turn 21.

Quote from Capt Sasha: “...like independant non-American journalists, for the 'crime' of publicising videos that unviel how Americans sexually abuse Iraqi prisoners. ” Wasn't there another one about a journalist who reported on American soldiers raping an Iraqi teenager, and the place the journalist worked for was later bombed by American troops and the reporter sent to Guantanamo as well? Quote from asoiafdude: “My, isn't that hypocritical? You reprimand us for torture, and yet turn around and …

  • ...Honestly I would stop all together. It's not a very healthy habit to develop.

  • There is a lot more than water boarding that goes on in there - and it's used on more than terrorists. :\

  • lolbanks. The situation that lead up to the state we're in in eerily reminiscent of what caused the stock market crash of 1929 - Short-sightedness. Combine that with the failwar in the Middle-East, and you have our current 'financial crisis.' They didn't say how we're going to be billed, though. In the form of higher taxes or something?

  • By "illegal," I think they mean the way prisoners were both brought there are treated. I'm sure what they do there can be considered both torture + cruel and unusual. I'll look it up and see for myself, though.

  • Well, this was going to be aimed at DragonLTD but it appears as if he's already been banned. Oh well. Yes, there are rape profiles, but there are also many of them and they are meant, obviously, as generalizations. Not everyone is going to fit into any given profile. Quote from The Sorrow: “ i will make you suffer a fiat worse then death and 3 lifetimes in a cell!” Well I certainly wouldn't want to suffer a fiat, let alone one worse than death and 3 lifetimes in a cell. Though I honestly don't k…
