  • The reason I wasn't so sure about why we talked so much was because she's pretty cynical and makes me feel stupid, or unwanted sometimes. This is just her personality, and overall she's very nice to me but when I say certain things it brings on sarcastic comments that I have a hard time not defending myself against. I'm not saying I think I should just never say anything, but I make it to be more than just a joke and that's just me being uptight. So, you can see how conversations would get prett…

  • Almost a year and a half ago, I started to spend a lot of time talking to a particular girl. The time I've spent with her actually accounts for most of my social interaction; you could say the same about her, regarding me. I used to think the only reason we talked so much was because I clung to her, and somewhat followed her. However, I've tested this by walking farther ahead on the way to class and that kind of thing--to my surprise she made a point to catch up. As you can probably guess, I rea…

  • Quote from COK3CAD3T: “After the questions...I typed in "is it illegal for gay men to give blood?" into Google click here to see results So yeah. It seems it is true. And yes, people ARE dying because gay men can't donate blood. Unless of course they lied. However, in the UK you DONATE blood you do not get paid, so there is really no need to lie about anything.” In the U.S. you don't receive any pay for donating blood--that would negate the term "donate".

  • I know the last thing you want to do is talk to your girlfriend about this, but that's actually the best thing you can do. If she's as amazing as you say she is, then she would be the one to understand and try to help you get the self-confidence you need to get rid of these feelings. About the grounding, you two are to blame for that. I'm sure your relationship is strong enough to survive. All I can suggest is to learn from it and just move on.

  • When my mom was still living, she visited a psychiatrist to receive consultations concerning her struggle with bipolar disorder. This never was cheap, and certainly not free. If I were you, I would get a part-time job to pay for it.

  • The biggest mistake you've made in this situation is judging J's thought process by female standards. Where a girl will place a lot of emphasis on a guy having made out with her friend, a guy does not. There's is only one obstacle for you, and that is trying to make J realize you're interested in him.

I'm surprised no one has made a West Virginian joke out of this.

  • Quote from Laura: “Well first off, i think no matter what you do the girl will get hurt, but the main thing you have to do is to stop her from being used. Persuade the guy not to use her anymore and if he doesn't listen to you, you then go and warn the girl. If she doesn't listen to you or not believe you, accept it then just tell her to be careful and leave it at that. If things go wrong and he does end up using her try and comfort her, be reasonable and sympathetic. Hope everything works out, …

  • I know the chances are probably less than one in a million, but if it really had been her that made that post it would've been the best irony ever. Oh and yeah she's definitely flirting.

  • If you can prove that he's a danger to himself or others, you can possibly apply for what is called an "Affidavit for Involuntary Committment." This way, your friend will be placed in psychiatric care whether or not he wants to be. At this point, that's probably the best choice. The whole affidavit thing is only effective in the U.S. though.

  • I was in a similar situation just today. I thought I had been getting on this girl's nerves, and asked her about it. She said I was being too hard on myself, and imagining problems that aren't really there. Maybe that's what you're doing too?

  • If you have feelings for a girl, and you're mature enough to handle it, then it shouldn't matter if she has children.

  • The following statement is how I describe her to people who ask me: "Sarah Palin drinks from a sippy cup, not by choice, by necessity."

I personally find Sarah Palin to be quite inadequate for the position of Vice President, regardless of my party affiliations. Does anyone have a differing opinion? Even here in the South, it's largely a consensus that she's not fit.
