She could just be trying to protect you or be overly defensive. Or, menopause could be a good point. Moms are moms though, and I have the same problems with mine. Whatever she's doing, don't let it get to you until it REALLY starts to affect you, like she's grounding you for something you didn't do, etc. Or, maybe, it could just help to sit down and calmly talk with her.

Legally, there is a big problem. You could both be in deep shit if you're caught. After all, you're a minor and she definitely isn't. But I guess if you are both responsible and you are really committed, it is your decision. You should really think this through though.
