Well, they can work out right. I've been with my girlfriend now for about 2 months, known each other longer. We live at least 4-5 hours away. We hardly ever get to see each other, it's tough. But it's worth it. I'm going to be doing an apprenticeship in Mechanics, and my mum said I can move when I'm 16.. See, it does work out right sometimes.

I also lost my dad, and recently my mum was taken into hospital after having a heart attack. I then noticed, my life wouldn't be worth living. And I also cried every day because I knew that I said/did bad things. They feed you, they look after you, they give you hugs when you had a bad day.

I think we all will agree with this, but. We all take our parents for granted. Then when one goes, you realise what they mean to you, and that you can't cope without parents.

Since my dad died, I've always stood by my mum.. My brother and I don't get along. But we try for mum. I don't know what advice I could give..

If the 'other guy' is being shallow, then the best thing to do is ignore him OR you could show him how much fun you and the other guys could have. He's probably a tad antisocial.

The worst mistake is to give up, if you give up doing something (In your case trying to change) then you'll never change. But, if you want to change so bad you'd do it. I've changed, kind of. I was once a bad student and a bad friend/son. Now, I've changed. Because I now know how precious life is. Don't give up mate.

Hello! I've had the same problems.. And well, I still do. My grades at school stink. My father died whilst I was 7. My mum has just had a heart attack and is recovering in hospital. I'm underweight.. I don't understand why you want to forget about it, someone so close to you dies, you don't recover from it. Both of my parents died.. And, that was 8 years ago.. Never got over that.

Well, for many people it's such an amazing time of year to show fathers how much you all care. But for many people, they don't have a father. I'm one of those people who doesn't have one. I've been thinking it's been about 8 years since my dad died.. Is it time I moved on and forgot about it? Move on and don't bother about it? :confused:
