take a teacher and work about technique.. using brute force can get you very high, but improving your technique will ultimately have the best effects.. I didn't swim competitively for a few years now, but working on technique was always an ultimate goal..

20ft?? nahh.. 17 feet is already very good and Nicole (it's shorter then your nickname :p), 13ft is good enough, I'm quite sure girls are required for lower scores as-well and 13ft most certainly won't fail you.. my personal best is 4.67 meters, and I'm tired of those annoying conversions so have fun calculating yourself (I think it's about 15 feet)
