There's a private school down the road from me, bit of a fob off I think really, you can get just as goos education , it doesn't matter WHERE you are and how much you pay, it's the effor YOU put into it. |

The teachers are generally much more helpful.
I don't go to a private school anymore, but I did Freshman year and the first semester of this (my sophmore year). Don't worry, it will be fine

Hehe ~ god it was disgusting....it's a bunch of rich whiny brats complaining about what they can't have or thinking they are better than the non-private school people.
" Daddy wouldn't let me have that reaaally big party I wanted!"
"Awwwww you should like SO hate him"
-Eyeroll-
._, Expect some immature little girls if you're a female.
Good point ~ they do have higher focus on education. I noticed this when I started teaching at one. |

They can be more focused on learning and yes more learning than telling people off probably goes on, BUT it's their parents that pay for it and a lot resent them for it. The one near me , because it's a private school sets their own holidays, they have like 14/15 weeks off a year it's ridiculous so thjey're paying and half thee time they ain't even there. I reckon people at my school learn just as much as they do if not more.
I don't agree that teachers are more helpful at private shcools. Some teachers at my school will go out of their way to help you, I mean they even have emails we can email them with problems out of school, and they most usually always reply. |

I've been at private schools since halfway through kindergarten as the public school i attended basically said it was up to the parents to teach the students and there was no discipline or control in the class room. As for holidays i see were your getting that argument from but it is because the school hours in one day or the amount of class hours done is the required amount at the end of the year, so in the long run we are doing the same amount of work, but just in a shorter amount of time. which gives us a longer holiday my last summer holidays was over 3 months which was awesome.

Money: -1,285 | Re: private school Haha you're lucky you don't live in Hong Kong(um, a city in China, Asia, if you don't know). I go to a private school in Hong Kong (in fact the most exclusive one =_=), and pretty much everyone is rich. But I don't think people are really stuck up or anything, except for SOME of them. Well, I'd say the discipline in private schools are way stricter and of course you have to wear an uniform and all... My school is horrible... It's like a military school minus the physical training. Just as harsh. :S The teachers are devils.
But then you're not in Hong Kong. From what the people above says *looks up in jealousy* I don't think it'd be much of a problem.. GOOD LUCK!!! xD

I'm sure you'll like it thoughh
