Money: 5,316 Points: 10,625, Level: 24 | | Work Experience blah.. I had my first day of work experience today it was horrible
first of all i had to get a bus there - the bus stop is a 30 min walk in the opposite dirrection from where i needed to go!
when i got there i was made to sit in front of a computer where i had too press buttons to test their new system - tis mind numbingly boring!
after that i had the fun task of entering data into there database - tis also mind-numbingly boring
and the woman who explained how to enter the data was so patronising she spoke to me like i dont know the most basic computer skills like " you click on the little box with the mouse, this is called a text box then using the keyboard you type in the data on the sheet i gave you" argh people like that really annoy me
then to top it all of the bus back was 5 mins early so i missed it and had to spend an hour walking home down a couple of country lanes in really uncomfortable shoes
that is the end of my rant |

It's just a week of mucking around really, supposed to teach you life skills, not that it does. If it's boring then just don't go in, or put up with it and just do the job. It was the first day, so people are still getting to know you, your still getting used to it and things, it'll get better most likely, just give it time. |

Even if you can't move, you'll only have two weeks (?) of it. It will encourage you to try harder in school so you can get a job you enjoy. |

But hey, stick it out and at least you can put it down when you're applying to uni or for a job... they don't necessarily know that that's all you did . You can always get work experience somewhere else independently. |
