I love soccer, I play it every day if I can, and I have a season ticket at Sunderland. Unfortunately, (and this is the most confusing thing) former British colonies aren't very big on soccer. Fair enough, there are exceptions, such as Carribean islands, but the 'big' colonies such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States just don't seem to bother very much with it.

Remember though, Baseball was invented in England

It's played world wide, so it's really only in America that people bash it. IMO the only reason people bash it in America is because our men's national team has always been horrible, so they've never really had a reason to get into it.
