I can't stop worrying about it. ADHD has fucking ruined my life (and don't say I'm using it as an "excuse"...I was diagnesed with it when I was 5 years old and didn't even know what it was until years after I had been diagnosed with it). I can NEVER concentrate on ANYTHING in school, I feel like a complete dumbass because of it and my grades are terrible. Why is school so fucking easy for everybody else??? Everybody I know gets 80s and 90s without even trying. I am so fucking sick of people talking about being accepted into college like it's easy and no big deal. I'll be happy to get accepted anywhere.
and then there's math class. I was in 11th grade math at the beginning of the year, but got moved down to 9th grade math because I did not understand a single thing going on and had a 38 average. I still couldn't understand even 9th grade math and failed with a 63 average. I'm currently taking 9th grade math in summer school, and I'm going to be a senior. Makes you feel pretty good about yourself, doesn't it?
I hate myself and all these goddamn learning disabilites I have. Seriously. I had a fucking 66 average in Web Design class when everybody else had 90's. I kept getting distracted and going on the internet. I told my web design teacher repeatedly to help me focus when I started going on the internet because I have major concentration problems, and she didn't do a single thing about it.
My parents couldn't care less about my grades either. I keep telling them to remind me to do my homework because I always forget to do it, and they never do. They used to care, but I think they've just given up because they know i'll never do good in school.
Math class last year was my worst yet. Here I am, surrounded by kids two years younger than me getting 80's and 90's and me getting 40's and 50's on the same stuff. I passed one...yes, one math test last year. I got a 66.
I'm in special ed...it's not all that extensive though. It pretty much consists of getting tutored in whatever subject I need help with at the moment for a period a day and taking exams separate from the normal kids.
I would like to let you know that success doesn't come from college. I am currently in college but I have operated numerous businesses since I was 13.
If that was the case, the third richest man on the planet (Bill Gates) wouldn't be a college dropout.
Maybe I can help you develop a strategy. Find me at my site on my sig
