Re: Book Recommendations.
Choke
Chuck Palahniuk
Satire/Comedy
Reading it makes you feel like a great person in comparison to the sex-addicted protagonist of the novel. -grins- No, but really, the writer is fantastic so it's constantly entertaining.

Re: Book Recommendations.
Title: Poison
Author: Chris Wooding
Genre: Fantasy
Why you enjoyed the novel: This book was fantastic, and I love the writing style. Go for it!
Title: The Secret Life of Bees
Author: Sue Monk Kidd
Genre: Dunno
Why you liked the novel: In my opinion, it's a fantastic book with a connection for mothers and daughters everywhere.. It's a good story with racism involved in the plot, and the feelings when you confront it.
Title: Cirque Du Freak
Author: Darren Shan
Genre: Fantasy/Horror
Why you liked the novel: Darren Shan is a completely fantastic writer.. You can't put the book down until you've completely devoured it. Filled with gruesome additions and horrific creatures, the Cirque Du Freak series is something you don't wanna miss.
Title: The Demonata Series (Lord Loss, Demon Thief, Slawter, Bec)
Author: Darren Shan
Genre: Fantasy, Horror
Why you liked the novel: Same as the Cirque Du Freak series.
My all-time favorite books.

Re: Book Recommendations.
Title - girl with pearl earring
Author - Tracy Chevalier
Genre- fiction
Why you enjoyed the novel - it touched me the way the girl lived her life, the sacrifices she made, the decisions she took for her family... it's life.... so touching... and also how in your time of death, you think of the one you love most though you haven't been able to tell them..
Title - Chinese cinderella and the secret dragon society
Author - Adeline yeh mah
Genre - fiction i think
Why you enjoyed the novel - again it is in the context of war.. it's about a little girl who is not loved by her mother in law, circumstances made her meet people who would be her family.. they secretly organise how to save the prisoners of war from japan i think... they use martial arts... great novel...
Title - cuisine sanglante [don't know the english title]
Author - Minette walters
Genre - Suspense/crime
Why you enjoyed the novel- it kept me thinking and thinking who exactly is the culprit and why he would do it!!! when the main character is accused of the murder and her mother and sister, she agrees to confess being the guilty one without defending herself... it's really weird.. you'll find out who did that and why she didn't defend herself.. really great this book!!!!!!!!!
Title - the constant princess
Author - philippa gregory
Genre - historical?
Why you enjoyed the novel - although it dealt much with history and the hierarchy of the royal family [monarch] and how they made wedding matches, it talks about one person specifically and that's the princess katarina, through all the hardships she went through to get where she is... [i think the princess katarina is a true personality in real life.. looking for her biography] the story is inspired by the true person i think...
Title - Anne Frank's diary
Author- Anne Frank
Genre - biography
Why you enjoyed the novel - i was already against racism before reading that but when i read that book, it made me more enraged against racists, how they make people suffer, specially hitler who acted purely by racism... the book is the diary of a little girl who lived through war by hiding in an annex with her family... if she hadn't died, i'm sure she would have written wonders..

Re: Book Recommendations.
Title: Inheritance. Eragon/Eldest
Author: Christopher Paolini
Genre: umm Fiction / mid evil type but idk.
Why you enjoyed the novel: well written, many story lines, many characters with plenty of details of each one, all tied in together, plot twists, just all around good book. dont pay attention to the movie they made for eragon. that movie dipicted a completely different story. like i mean, lord of the rings movies were "good but didnt go by the book exactly." this movie was like a differentstory all together. the book is amazing.
