Yes, yes. Very odd hobby for me. But sailing is my calling. Along with the occasional "brush with death".
I love just being in control of something that is one with nature. The tacking, hoisting the sails, broadsides, 50 degree angles with water rushing in....It's all very comforting.
I was taught by my grandfather when I was six years old. He showed me how to do everything and eventually let me go off on my own when I was 12. He crowned me an official pirate that day. I often go out by myself just before sunset and stand behind the wheel. And as tradition goes, I always mutter, "Now, bring me the horizon".
Anyone else share the love of the sea as I do?
