Kayaks

My cousins birthday is coming up (the same day as mine, July 26) and he has been asking for a kayak forever but his parents dont have enough money to buy him one. I have been researching kayaks and have decided I will get him a sit on top kayak but I have a question.

should I get him a two seater or one seater? I want to get him a two seater so him and his mom/brother/dad can go together but what if he wants to go by himself? He is about 5'3" and weighs about 164 and I dont know how hard it is to paddle a two seater if their is only one person in it, especially if you are out of shape. Can anyone help me please?

Hm, well I say to get the one seater kayak.

I used to want a double seater one so that I could go with my boyfriend, but the one seater is more convenient because if you want to go by yourself, you don't look retarded and it's a lot easier to paddle.
