asus, MSI, and sony are the best I know go for something with at least 8GB of ram a quad core intel cpu (the amd quad cores have very slow clock rates) and nice dedicated graphics like an nvidia GTX550M or better

I don't want to seem like a fanboy or anything but if you can afford a Macbook, that's great too. My brother has had his Macbook Pro for a year and a half now and it is still just as fast as when he first bought it

I am using Dell, it is amazing, Dell is my favorite brand. It is durable and reliable. I am using it since 2010. It has not given me any trouble yet. I am very happy with it.

I agree with vanywan because Dell have the best value for money. I use Dell INSPIRON 6400, it's has a six years. Maybe someone will say "You have Dell so you aren't objective" hmm... but not. I recommend this brand.
