SL refers to a group of laboratory and engine tests, including the latest series for control of high-temperature deposits. really depends on your environment. Where I live, the weather is hot and very humid, this the thicker nature 20w-50 oils are really the only option over the much lighter 5w-30, also there is a significant reduction in chances of 20w-50 thinning out during extreme heat not to mention maintaining its viscosity. | |
