So I dreamed last night that this random man was in my bedroom and kept trying to rape/attack me /: I know it just sounds like an everyday nightmare but it was so messed up.
But the really weird thing was... I knew I was dreaming, so I kept trying to wake myself up, but I couldn't. In my dream I kept trying to move to get the guy off me... but I couldn't /: and when I finaly moved my arm, my arm moved in real life aswell /: and felt really stiff!
The weird thing was I was asleep... but awake aswell. I could tell I was dreaming but everything felt so weird.
It wasn't the dream that scared me (well it was) but it was the feeling I got, I just had no control over myself in or outside of my dream.
When I know I'm dreaming and want to wake myself up, I normaly wake up straight away, but this was just different.
I couldn't talk either, I normaly scream when I have nightmares but I just had no control over anything.
It's really hard to explain the feeling I got... I just can't explain it fully.
I know this sounds really stupid... but they freak me out loads o.0
I may go to the doctor about it... my dad used to tell me it's was normal to get fucked up dreams as a child, but their getting more frequent.
Everything Will be ok, everyone in there life time goes threw dreams like that, its apart of human nature, It will all go away soon trust me, and just pray to god to take all your bad dreams away too, that also helps, I hope I could be some help, just tell me how everything goes down..!!!
I wouldn't say it was unhealthy just quite head fucking, that was probably the worst case I've had.

Sleep paralysis is a common condition marked by the inability to move the body or limbs, either during the onset of sleep or upon waking. It is sometimes accompanied by hypnagogic hallucinations. People with sleep paralysis should be assured that they don’t have any mental or serious medical illness.
Sleep paralysis can run in families, but the actual cause of sleep paralysis is not agreed upon or even understood. Although this disorder is sometimes seen in people with narcolepsy, it occurs in many people who do not have narcolepsy.
This sleep disorder isn’t harmful, but those experiencing sleep paralysis are frequently fearful since they do not know what is happening to them. Typically ended by stimuli such as sound or touch, within a matter minutes after a bout of sleep paralysis, the person is able to move again. This could occur just one time in your life, or can be recurrent.
Medications such as Sodium oxybate (Xyrem) may be prescribed as a cure for sleep paralysis in severe cases, but the best treatment for sleep paralysis is to reduce stress and get the proper amount of sleep.
Here are some steps to help you cope with Sleep Paralysis.
It's more scary when it's happening... but it's not dangerous. I may start trying to lucid dream... it's where people learn how to take more control of their dreams, but I dunno if I have the patience /: lol.
yeah I was talking to someone at my work about lucid dreams and he was explaining what they were and how you were supposed to be able to have them eventually if you did certian things. I guess I'm "lucky" that I don't have to do anything to have lucid dreams-- in fact, I am always ni control of my dreams which is nice when someone is chasing you with a knife and then you turn them into your little sister or something much less scary. Good luck with the lucid dream thing though SugarRush
In my experience, sleep paralysis combined with double-dreaming (wake up from a dream, only to realize that you're still in a dream you need to wake up from) provides for one majorly screwed-up experience.
