How do I not live with my dad.

It's not that my dad beats me or anything.
Just, when he's pissed he completely gets out of line. He'll call me a ungreatful cocksucking motherfucker and stuff like that.
I think that this is completely uncalled for and he doesn't need to be talking to his 15 year old son like that.
I was wondering, if I went before the courts and pointed out that he calls me by such names, and that when I lived with my mother I never made a single "F" in my life, which now I make like 5 a quarter, would they let me live with my mother?

If you can prove that your mother's is a healthier environment for you than your father's, then they'll switch custody to her. And, based on what you say, yeah, they will. The things he says are punishable by law, so that most certainly will result in a change of custody, even if he isn't charged with anything. You should really go for it.

after 13 i believe i know in Indiana if the parents are divorced the child has the right to choose who they live with look up ur state laws

i wish i could move away from my dad too

but my mum and dad are together, bc my dad beats me up when drunk..and has tried to strangle me couple of times

. But i just have to live with it bc i got nowhere else to go

you really shouldn't have to put up with that lovetolive, tell your mum about it

at 15 really you should be able to decide where you want to live. Yeh the courts say that the father gets custody, but i think that only applies to when your young and from about 14/15 most likely 15 you should be able to decide where you want to live as your obviosuly more aware of things than when you were younger. Yeh i'd check that out i'm sure if it's what you want they won't deny it and it sounds a happier enviroment for you to be in, worth a shot

My mum knows

my dads a cop so he told me that if i call childline or something like that they wouldnt believe me. So i try and keep outta his way as much as possible

he's just scared that you will call them.

Childline and the police are there to protect you, use them. They also have to keep things confidential if you wish. Seriousily i'd call childline and get some advice, they don't even have to take action if you don't want to, but as it's their job they know what they're talking about, so some advice from them would probab;y be much better than here

Lovetolive I'd tell sum1 my dad did stuff 2 me and my sisters when we were younger i dont exactly want 2 say what it was over this but if you ever need 2 talk i know what your going through and im here even though you dont know me lolz
