Today was the 2nd day of gym class and we started jogging. At the end of the class, my coach comes up to me and asks me, "How come you don't have any friends in this class?" I was shocked because A) it was an offensive thing to ask B) it was the 2nd day of class and he didn't know me at all. I don't remember exactly what I said in reply but it was something like, "I don't know I just don't talk to those girls very much". I just think it's weird that he asked me that when I wasn't even really isolated too much. I know he didn't mean to sound like a jerk but it really made feel like insecure; like an outcast. The thing is, I am NOT an outcast, I am just quiet and more reserved. I don't know hardly anyone who doesn't like me because I am always nice to everyone. What he said really hurt my feelings but some part of me says I am overreacting. Do you think I have a right to be offended by the coach's comment?
