when you're anxious...

Do you find yourself having quite a few effects from it?
I have a problem with high anxiety levels (mainly in social situations, arguments etc) and whenever i'm anxious i'm so frustrated easily, i tewnd to assume/argue or take everything personally OR the wrong way often. There is also quite a few other things i have related.

Do anyone else have this?

I'm that way once in a while. But I think it's because I get cursed at and yelled at everyday by customers and I can only take so much.

I find certain people who act a certain manner trigger it off. And bad experiences.

When i get anxious i avoid things or its like i dont function well in social situations. Its hard to get over.

i hade high high anxiety levels when i was in school, i would thnk the worst was going to happen, it might have been the stupidest thing but it played on my mind and i would end up staying home from school. i think it was because i never really felt comfortable around so many people i wasnt the best at holding a conversation with people, i was a shy person. my sister was also a Class A Student and in my mind i felt the need to live up to her standards which was hard, this pressure ended up making me fail in school. But now ive left school and started working i had to kick that anxiety to the side, starting work was probly the best thing to have happened in my life, i found a new leese of confidence i started to go out more and socialise, i even started to out on a saturday night with friends which i always told myself i would never do.
When you start to feel nervous just take a deep breath and think 'it will be fine'
Also what i found was that if you think 'this might happen' or something will go rong just think, if it happen it happens nothing you can do about it. My sister told me that and its helped me out over the last 2 years alot. ive found that if something does go wrong when im out or someone makes fun/says something about me i take it in my stride.

I just tend to stop talking to everyone. I love being around people so i try and be around them as much as possible. But when im anxious about something i just close up and exclude myself from people. There is always one that comes to see whats wrong and once i have explained it to them i'm ok again

You're both right. But the problem with me is knowing "how" to be relaxed. I get so anxious so easily sometimes, even now and i'm at college. Once something annoys me at college (for example) it gets to me a lot, especially when its going on inside the classroom.
I must say i have been calmer more lately and it has helped

Couldn't you just save the thoughts that get you anxious until you are on your own or with a trusted friend. Telling people things seriously help me.

If you tell things to people who know you well then they will know how to persuade you not to worry.
