Im 18 and so far ive only ever had one boyfriend which lasted 2 and a half years. Ive been single for a year now, and i can't seem to image my self with anyone. The problem is being single is really making me depressed i hate being lonely but yet im just to scared to commit to anyone. Ive had loads of offers but from all the wrong guys. Ive had my heart broken which really affected me but not only that ive been played by quite a few guys in the past. I still can't seem to tell whether a guy wants just sex or something abit more.
A friend of mine seems to think im a man hater which technically isnt true she even told one guy this when he was a lil interested i was a lil bit offended, i don't hate men just seem to go for the wrong guys and i admit sometimes it does come across as if i am a man hater, but seriously i think i do it as a front.
I never seem to let anyone close to me i don't even class my close friends as best friends because all my passed friends have stabbed me in the back, i don't tell secrets because im scared someone will tell as passed friends have. I can even say ive pushed alot of people away because they got to close for comfort and i got scared.
Im a lil confused on why im still like this people say i should get over the past but it's easier said then done.
I guess im just asking for a lil advice on how to get over the past and move on to the future.

Getting over the past can be much more difficult than some can imagine. Love may be the greatest feeling, but it requires a lot in return, such as openness, honesty, loyalty, devotion, etc, and when we give all of these feelings to a specific individual, in a sense it makes us vulnerable, because with one wrong action they can shatter your world. This is why it is so important to find the right man or woman.

You need to have trust in yourself, trust to make the right judgment on whether a man is trying to pursue a relationship or just looking for sex. Only you can change this, you need to realize not all men are the same, you know this, I know you do, but hang in there, don't give up just yet. =]
