Lost Memory

My family has had various problems and I have been seeing a counselour for about 4 years(Im 16). We started using hypnosis to help me retrieve memories that I had blocked out. We found out that I had been molested by my sister when I was 7. I haven't been on good terms with my sister (and now I know why) but I dont know what to do.

Should I try to restart our relationship?

It is how you feel, do you feel the need to? Have you forgiven her? Can you continue looking at her as a sister rather than a molester?

If you are unable to forgive her, don't kill yourself, what she did was morally reprehensible. Would I restart the relationship? No, what she did was wrong and she wouldn't deserve it, but everyone is different.

How do you feel about her and what do you feel you should do?

The reason im not sure is because she was also a victim. We found out that she was raped multiple times, but she didn't remember it because she dissociated (basically she pretended it was happening to somone else) which is the exact same thing I did, and why I didn't know what happened for quite some time.

It all depends on how you feel my friend. If you feel you can forgive her and can move on with no grudges, which may or may not be hard, go for it and try fixing your relationship.

If you can't, understand what she did WAS wrong and you shouldn't punish yourself or feel guilty.

How old was your sister?
I assume that she was old enough to know better. Just because she was raped didn't give her the right to molest you. I'm not trying to say that what happened to her was ok, but I understand that it would have been a horrible experience for her and would help explain why she did that to you.
