I can't be the only person who has dreams like this.
Do any of you have someone you can relate to, even if they don't really exist? For me, as lame as it sounds, it would have to be Raphael from TMNT. Especially the newer one, the way Raph and Leo fight just gets to me. The look in Raphs eyes when him and Leo are fighting on the roof just make me feel things. It sounds stupid, but we're so much alike. So angry, and ready to fight all the time. We care too much, and aren't sure how to show it. We both feel the same way about our brothers. Even if he's just a made up guy, it just feels okay to relate to him. In my dreams, I mainly dream that I'm him, and the other members (Leo, Mikey, Donnie) are friends/family members I'm having troubles with. I play out my issues/thoughts with them, and most of the time they have to do with Raphael(me), doing drugs, or backstabbing his brothers, or lashing out at them.
I can't be the only person. It's lame, but someone else, fess up, please. I feel like I'm a creepy insane weirdo.
It's getting to the point where I want to sleep all day, so I can go on adventures and get away from my real problems and focus on the brotherly relationship these guys face. My mom yells at me because I sleep all day.
I like that, even though they fight, physically and verbally, in the end they're brothers and that's what matters the most. I like the fact that they are all strong and smart, and I like the fact that they are the only ones of their kind so it makes them really unique. I watch the movies over and over and memorize their body language, the way they talk, lines from the movie and I play them over and over in my head. Is this some sort of sick obsession? Do I have some sort of emotional thing I need to get under control?
I have had way weirder dreams than you have had, so there's nothing wrong with you. You're not the only one.
You need to stop focusing on this dream so much, and try to force yourself to dream about something else. Think about something else while you are lying in bed, focus on other things to dream about and burn that into your subconscious during the day and night, and it should help you completely forget about the dreams you've been having in the present.
Dreaming is great, it's your world the way you want it.
But if you feel alone and just like you're the only one who can be feeling the way you are. As hard as it can be, you aren't. Talk to someone about how you feel, it always helps.
