Fake IDs, do they work?
I'm 17, a year off being legally able to drink and go into night clubs and stuff. However, alot of my mates are 18+, and i feel left out when they go clubbing and stuff cause i always get asked for ID when i try, same goes for when trying to buy alcohol for a poker night and stuff, its extremely annoying.
Another of mates who is 17 like me has a fake ID and he ses he always gets served and never has a problem. I'm really considering geeting one, u can pick one up online for like a tenner.....but do they really work? i mean my mate looks older than 18 anyway but i look reasonably young for my age i think....should i get 1 or just wait the extra year? Any of you guys got one, how have they worked for ya?

If you really want to be able to get served and into nightclubs then go for it but be careful cause if it's a bad one then it won't work and you can get into a load of trouble cause of it but no-one i know with one has had a problem and mine has worked a charm since i was like 15 although i do look older than my age.

Well they are pretty cheap, and only thing that will happen if you get caught is it will get confiscated/cut up. If you're going to get one buy one that isnt one of the first ones on google lol, because they have leaflets of what to look out for.
If the bar/club gets found out for serving under age then they could get in big trouble, which is pretty harsh imo.
I would advise just waiting, but if you really cant then...
Oh another trick I picked up over the years is if you photo copy your passport, but stick a peice of paper over your DOB with a written one that can work. It all depends where you are going i suppose.

go for it, theres so many people doing it these days that i doubt the punishment would be that great, they'll probs just give you a bollocking and cut it up. Is it almost exactly a year you'll have to wait or what, if less than half a year i'd just wait 'cos it ain't really worth it

really depends on the person viewing the ID. if they buy it or not. take your chances though. they wont sent you to jail, what can they do?

Depends where you get them from.
I have one, it only works in some places.... it depends who is serving and where you are.
I had mine when I was 15, so I would wait one more year if I was you tbh.

this thread is like half a year old....dont know why someone revived it lol....
I didn't bother getting one in the end, and i'm only 4 months off being 18 now so i'm not really bothered.
on a side note, i've noticed that when buying booze or trying to get in somewhere, its not really how old u look (though that obviously helps), but more how confident you are, and how natural you can make it seem....i've got much better at this and never have a problem anymore...before i would stutter or look nervous..i think that was my problem..not how old i looked....
