Emo is the most stupid label that has ever been given to ANYONE.
I'm sure it started out as a type of music, usually songs about heartbreak and self harm.
But then the 'emo label' just GREW out of control.
Now if you go around with black hair or wearing black clothes, if you wear eyeliner or maybe converse shoes you're automatically labelled emo. Even if you dont even LISTEN to emo music.
People do play up to this whole 'emo label' and like to "air their dirty laundry" as its sometimes put by making blogs and MySpace bulletins ranting about how shit their lives are and how much they want to die.
To be honest the whole emo thing has spiralled out of control because now if someone is genuinely depressed and genuinely wants to die, most of the teenage society will mark them as an attention seeking emo and won't take their problems seriously.
